North Orlando Kiwanis Little League's Spring 2020 season is currently postponed due to the Coronavirus.
As of this article's publication, Little League has asked all United States based leagues to postpone all in person league activities through at least May 11, 2020, including all games and practices. Any in person volunteer led activities with attendees from outside your family is considered a practice and is not allowed. We are asking our volunteers and family members to help follow these precautions for the safety of everyone.
The May 11th date will likely change as time moves on, so keep an eye out for further updates.
In addition to Little League's guidance we will also follow any local City of Orlando, County, State, and Federal restrictions on activity due to COVID-19.
As a league, our board and volunteers remain committed to resuming baseball activities once we have been given clearance that it is safe to do so. Due to the uncertain nature of the timeline we will not have a clear picture of how our season will look until we know when.
While league activities are suspended, it is still important for you and your children to continue to get outside and play. As long as you and your family are not experiencing symptoms and are practicing good hygiene and social distancing, we encourage everyone to get out of the house every day. Play catch, hit wiffle balls, take a walk, go for a jog, or ride a bike.
We know this is a stressful time for all of us. Please be safe and enjoy the time you have with your family. Continue to listen to the advice of medical professionals. The better we are at limiting the spread of COVID-19, the faster we can get back on the field.
